About KOBOTEA -Kombucha-

Kobo (酵母)Tea is a living health drink made by the fermentation of natural tea and sugar, along with the symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY).  The taste is similar to sparkling cider and champagne. This tea based beverage is often consumed for its health benefits or medicinal purposes all over the world. It is known for being a great source of probiotics and antioxidants, and loaded with vitamins. The first recorded use of this fermented tea was in China, as early as 221 BC during the Tsin Dynasty and was known as " The Tea of Immortality".

 

Proponents claim the benefit of Kobo Tea are many, including detoxifying the body, enhancing the immune system, and even helping with weight loss. Supporters also suggest the tea has its emotional benefits such as relaxation and mood stability.

 


Formula

The for making Kobo Tea requires sugar which is needed to feed the culture (SCOBY) in order to aid in the fermentation process. Kobo Tea is "fed, not sweetened" with sugar. After this long processing time, Kobo Tea is relatively low in calories and sugar, with a trace amount of alcohol.

Our handcrafted product is designed to complement the tea's natural flavors. They are available in Pure Black, Ginger Green, Oolong Ginger, Mint Green, Jasmine and Matcha.
